FAQ

Good questions.

How fast are the alerts?

Around the clock. At McGill and Concordia every watched course is re-checked every 10 seconds, 24/7 - free or paid, so a push hits your phone within seconds of a seat opening. uOttawa is checked every few minutes through its public class search. (U of T publishes its seat data through its official Timetable Builder, which refreshes a few times a day, so U of T alerts follow that pace.)

Does SeatSniper register me for the course?

No. We only tell you when a seat opens - you register yourself. We read your school's public course-availability data; we never touch your account.

Why do you need my school email?

One verification click proves you're a real student - it keeps the free tier fair and the service for actual classmates. Alerts still come by phone push, not email.

How does payment work?

Your first course is free. To watch more, it's a one-time $4.99 CAD that covers the whole year, Fall and Winter - not a subscription. Secure checkout via Stripe. See pricing.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Email hello@seatsniper.ca and we'll help you sort it out. We want SeatSniper working for you.

Which schools do you support?

McGill, Concordia, the University of Toronto, and the University of Ottawa are live today, with more Canadian universities on the way.
