By using SeatSniper, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language on purpose.

What SeatSniper does

SeatSniper monitors publicly available McGill course-availability data and notifies you when a seat, waitlist spot, or instructor changes for a course you're watching. SeatSniper does not register you for courses - you must register yourself on Minerva. We make no guarantee that a seat will still be available by the time you act.

Not affiliated with McGill

SeatSniper is an independent student-built tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by McGill University. "McGill" and course names are used only to describe the data we monitor.

Eligibility & accounts

SeatSniper is intended for McGill students. You agree to verify a valid McGill email and not to create multiple accounts to abuse the free tier. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Payments

Your first course is free. Unlimited course monitoring is a one-time $4.99 CAD charge that covers the full academic year (Fall and Winter) - it is not a recurring subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don't use SeatSniper for anything unlawful.
• Don't resell or redistribute the service.

No warranty

SeatSniper is provided "as is." We work hard to be fast and reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, instant delivery, or that you'll get a seat. We are not liable for missed registrations or any indirect damages.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
